Hello beautiful people!
As you can all see I have now added an “Events” tab to my website because I have had the honor and opportunity of attending a few fashion events in the Houston area and also to share my experience and review them. I have enjoyed being able to meet individuals in different industries that connect us all together but most importantly I have loved to witness the talent of many. Today I bring you the review of the “Purple Passion” Fashion Show. Featuring designer Lynn Danbrielle and DDH Fashion Productions with Darieus. Let me just express how happy I was to finally see a purple themed fashion show well executed. My favorite color is purple and I definitely enjoyed the fact that Darieus chose that color as the staple of his amazing collection.
To start off the show Victoria, the mastermind behind Lynn Danbrielle brought us a completely, beautiful and unique perspective of the color yellow. I’m telling you, it was all in the colors and I LOVED IT! The vibrant yellow on it’s own was strong, sexy and lively. The prints that you would have never thought would go so well with yellow surprised us and made me want to own that outfit. I love how well Victoria played with the high lows and asymmetrical style on some of her designs. I can look at her collection and be inspired by the careful usage of colors and well-thought out designs. It was truly a skillful masterpiece and a work of art.
Closing us off of course was the host and designer himself Darieus. Aside from his beautiful collection his story was also inspiring and one we can relate to. Family. I felt it and it was touching. Purple is not an easy color to pull off in general but Darieus truly proved us wrong. Every time one of his designs came out to walk the runway there was always a gasp of awe because he did such an awesome job putting his collection together. The variety of two-piece printed outfits and sets that gracefully and fiercely wowed the audience were carefully connected to become one. The best thing about many of Darieus designs is that you can mix and match them, either with other items from his collection or even a pair of nice jeans. My favorite was the all black two-piece ensemble (I know, I know the only one without a pop of purple) but it was so well designed and matched perfectly with the rest of his collection. The flowiness of the top added that sass to the full set. But did you see those printed pants, WOW. Absolutely loved them and again the many outfits you can create out of these pants is countless.
Both designers outdid themselves and marveled us with their talent and creativity. Please view the photos of the show above and show some love below!
