My Scattered Notes
Black is such a great color to wear. I think we should all wear black sometimes. Not just because it gives us a slimmer appearance or because it’s easy to wear and pair. Because the color goes deeper than that. It reminds us of mystery, darkness, supernatural things, sexiness and sultriness, power and even ambition or the depths we will go to for it. You didn’t think I’d take it there right? Somehow I had to correlate my outfit to the topic at hand.
And of course you do know what the white stripes stand for right? What do they stand for? Do they stand for the little bit of goodness in us? For the “good side” of us, the sweet, vulnerable, soft and subtle side of us? Good and bad. We all have a little of both, maybe more of one than the other. We smile in pictures, but do we truly mean it. I mean they do say social media is nothing but a highlight reel. Which is 100% true. So we live our lives faking it, until we actually live out our best life. Do you ever ask yourself if it’s all worth it. I guess we won’t know till we get to what we each consider “the end.”
And what do we say about the process. At times the process gives you excitement, it fills you with joy and happiness and makes you feel like the most powerful human being in the world. But then at times, the process also drains you, it scars you, it pains you and sometimes changes you. People walk in and out of your life, some of them you hope and think will stay for what would seem forever. Some of them you honestly don’t care for much. I think in the end, when it comes to people, what hurts the most is the idea you created in your head of your future along with that person. Sometimes in order to let go, you have to write it down. I let go now. You get over the pain and hurt, eventually… with time. Sometimes lots of time. The process is crazy, it’s a true emotional roller coaster. It brings us to tears, to laughs, disappointments, chills, smiles and happiness. In it’s fullness the process is a beautiful thing.
We see each others pictures, stories on social media. We hear our songs and voices, we seem so close and yet we’re so far. Thank you for allowing me into your life, into your personal space. Thank you for letting me catch a glimpse of your thoughts, thank you for letting me see what makes you happy. Also, thank you for making me stronger.
Don’t take this note as a sad note. Take it as a continuation of what’s yet to happen. Always remember that Life is amazing.
