DIY Painted T-Shirt
I made this shirt out of a t-shirt! I didn’t actually document it this time but I did put a poll up in my IG stories asking if you guys would like to see a DIY video of it! It is one of the easiest DIY’s I’ve done. I legit took an XL T-shirt and cut it into a crop top, and then I got some paint that I had and in my case used a napkin to create the painted messy look on the shirt. I’m very happy with the outcome! Also you can make it any color you’d like! I didn’t use a sewing machine; all you’ll need is scissors and paint.
Switching the subject a bit, I feel like I haven’t talked about life lately. I’ve kept myself very busy and focused. I’m learning as I go and like everyone have a few bumps on the road here and there. I haven’t really stressed much but I have had one major lesson I’ve learned and it’s called patience! You know this is one of the few avenues I have to be real… I really have no clue how many people actually read my blog but as I grow (which I’m confident that I am) I know I’ll have the opportunity to reach more people and therefore share my stories and be able to influence and inspire others through them. So let me be real…. Next paragraph (this one got to long…)
I am learning to be patient. Patient that things will get better for me financially, patience that one day I will meet an amazing partner, patience that my business will grow tremendously, patience that I will find a way to manufacture my clothing. Just being patience period. One thing this has brought me to and has had me thinking is that I’ve been very far away from God. While you may or may not be religious (I don’t consider myself to be religious) I believe that you always have to look to or rely on a higher power for strength, willpower and patience when our human strength may weaken. Now I know as humans we are capable of absolutely anything we put our mind to but having God in the picture smooths the process and brings me favor.
It’s been a really really long time since I’ve knelt down to pray, it’s been a couple of months since I last went to church and it’s been a while since I last had a connection with God period. I personally, need Him. So how does that have to do with me being patient? Well sometimes, I struggle. I get frustrated because things don’t go my way.. Although I have gotten so much better at that. However there is moments when I grow so impatient and I long to be where I see myself so bad! BUT I have learned that in order for me to achieve my vision I have to go through certain things so I can grow into the influential and powerful individual God has intended me to be since the beginning. So patience is key and it’s key to a lot of things.
So if you’re reading this and you sometimes feel frustrated because you’re not there yet, because you may not have the money you wanna have, because your business may not be where you want it to be, because you may still be single, because you’re simply just struggling to hit a breakthrough… be patient. Our moment is coming. One of my favorite verses from the bible is “But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31.
